A Norwegian family on holiday in La Palma faces chaos when a researcher discovers imminent signs of a volcanic eruption that could cause a massive tsunami. The geographic coordinates shown are the exact location on Tenerife, which is shown as a “safe location” from the tsunami. 28.218998 -16.414642. Aside from some silly moves by the annoying characters (we all know who they are), I enjoyed this episode. It was well-crafted and intense, especially the last two episodes. However, one question lingered at the end of the series that prompted me to write this review. If you could protect yourself from gases and lava, wouldn’t it be safer to stay in La Palma? The tsunami traveled in the opposite direction, away from the island (unlike the Boxing Day 2004 tsunami, which started in the middle of the sea and hit the coast), so you would think that the higher ground on the other side of the landslide would have provided some protection. Let’s get this straight. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming releases of the month. Check out our December calendar for more!
